Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – While on Duty in Papua, personnel of the Tri Dharma Task Force continued to work towards benefiting the people of Intan Jaya. This time, they got creative by teaching Papuan mothers to process mustard greens into “Sagai chips” (Bilogai mustard greens) at the Bilogai post located in the Intan Jaya regency, Central Papua Province on Monday (15/1/24).

Bilogai Post Commander, Infantery First Lieutenant Zaenal Muqorib explained that “Sagai Chips” is a snack made from mustard greens which isn’t hard to make.

“Mustard greens in Intan Jaya are very abundant. We teach Papuan mothers how to process them into products that holds more economic value. The method is very easy and simple, it can be done by anyone,” he stressed.

Papuan mothers enthusiastically took part in the short workshop in making Sagai Chips taught by the Tri Dharma Personnel.

“The Sagai Chips Uaaaaa”, said Mama Juliana Mbuligau while enjoying the deliciousness of the Sagai Chips.

Task Force Commander, Infantry Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.I.Pol explained that the 330 Task Force continues helping the local government to improve welfare of the people in Intan Jaya.

“Seeing the natural potential that exists in Intan Jaya, the 330 Task Force tries to introduce and teach alternative processed products from Mustard greens so that they are more valuable. Apart from being consumed by themselves, Sagai Chips can be sold to become an additional source of income for the Papuan people,” he stressed.

Papuan mothers became even happier when the Tri Dharma Knights distributed Sagai Chips products for free to take home.
