JAKARTA, IDNtribune.com – The North Morowali Police (Polres Morut) are currently conducting an investigation into the alleged existence of “ghost” honorary staff in the recruitment process of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in the region.

As part of the investigation, Polres Morut has sent official letters to several Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) requesting the submission of necessary documents. The requested documents include honorary staff data from 2023–2025, honorary staff decrees (SK), and Statements of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM).

One of the officials scheduled to provide clarification is the Head of the Youth and Sports Office (Dispora) of North Morowali, Drs. Djibrail. The examination is scheduled to take place on Thursday (August 28, 2025) at 10:00 WITA.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Polres Morut, IPTU Mas’ud Amara, S.Sos, confirmed the summons of several officials. “We have invited all OPDs, including sub-district heads and school principals,” he said on Tuesday (August 26, 2025).

Responding to the police’s move, Member of Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) and former Governor of Central Sulawesi, Drs. H. Longki Djanggola, M.Si, expressed full support for the ongoing investigation.

“Anyone who deliberately fabricates or manipulates honorary staff data must be held accountable. If proven, they must be sanctioned in accordance with statutory regulations, both in terms of administrative employment sanctions and legal sanctions,” stressed the Gerindra Party politician at the DPR RI Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday (August 26, 2025).

Longki emphasized that the practice of manipulating honorary staff data causes significant harm, particularly to honorary workers who have long served in government institutions. “This deprives others who are rightfully entitled. Therefore, I fully support the police in resolving this case in accordance with the applicable law,” he said.
