Asian Pest Management Association (APMA) Socialization at the 2024 ASPPHAMI Banten Regional Meeting
At the ASPPHAMI Banten Regional Meeting held on January 10, 2024 at the Santika Premiere Bintaro Hotel, South Tangerang, a socialization regarding the Asian Pest Management Association (APMA) was held and delivered by Ir. Drajat Nugraha as Chair of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the ASPPHAMI Representatice Council who is one of the Executive Committee Members of APMA.
APMA was formed and established in Singapore on July 31, 2023 by four national pest control associations, namely the Association of Indonesian Pest Control Companies (ASPPHAMI) Indonesia, Pest Management Professionals Welfare Association of Mumbai (PMPWAM) India, Pest Control Association of the Philippines (PCAP ) Philippines and Thailand Pest Management Association (TPMA) of Thailand.
The association membership types are divided into 4 catagories:
- Country Member: Special membership for the national pest control association in each country. ASPPHAMI Example.
- Associate Member: Special membership for pest control companies whose national associations are members of APMA.
- Affiliate Member: Special membership for pest control companies whose national associations are not yet APMA members.
- Allied Member: Special membership for suppliers of pest control companies. The presence of this association has attracted interest from various pest control companies in various countries to become APMA members. Apart from that, suppliers are also interested in becoming APMA members.
Currently hundreds of pest control companies from various countries, both APMA founding countries and non-founding countries, have registered as APMA Associate Members. Likewise, several companies have registered as APMA Affiliate Members and APMA Allied Members. Some of the benefits you get from becoming an APMA member are as follows: - Unlimited use of the APMA logo for branding purposes.
- Unlimited use of APMA website resources.
- Special discount for APMA conference.
- Low annual member fees
- The association’s annual national fee as an APMA Country Member is $200. Meanwhile, the annual fee for Associate Members is $25, the annual fee for Affiliate Members is $50, and the annual fee for Allied Members is $500. On 10 -11 July 2024, APMA will hold its first conference at The Emerald Hotel Bangkok Thailand, with the theme Asian Pest Management Forum 2024, Pest Management in Asia – Future Outlook. This conference will be attended by speakers who are competent in their respective fields, both from universities and from research institutions. The topics that will be presented are regarding the Future outlook of Pest Management, Business Outlook & Innovation, Termite and General Pest Control Sessions, Vector Control Stations around Asia, New Trends in Urban Pest Management, and others.
As an APMA member, each participant will get a special price, namely $ 300 including registration fees, gala dinner and hotel accommodation for 2 nights (twin share) including breakfast. This fee is much cheaper than the registration fee for similar conferences at various other international events, which is usually $500 for registration fees alone. Therefore, ASSPHAMI invites all regional council members to attend the APMA conference to increase knowledge and insight in the field of pest control, find out about the latest research that is up to date, and find out about new innovations related to the field of pest control.
