Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – In maintaining a secure environment in Intan Jaya, the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon worked together with all security forces to carry out integrated joint sweeping in Downtown Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, on Wednesday (12/07/2023)

This served as a preventive measure to prevent the circulation of liquor, Narcotics and attempts to smuggle/buy and sell weapons and ammunition to the Papuan Separatist Group.

The involvement of all elements of the Indonesian Armed Forces and the Police force who are on duty at Intan Jaya shows the solidity and cooperation of all parties in the context of working hand in hand to work together to maintain security conditions in Papua, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area.

First Lieutenant Abu Hanifah, the Intelligence officer of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon Task force stated in the release of his official statement. Which he explained  that the solidity of the Military and the Police force  in Intan Jaya is the basic foundation in order to maintain environmental conditions in Intan Jaya to keep it safe.  “This sweeping was carried out as an effort to break the distribution chain of munitions and the illegal weapon trade which have the potential to cause security threats,” said the man who is usually called by the Timorese man.

Orpinus Mbuligau, a resident who was passing through the city center of Sugapa, appreciated the precautions taken.  “I’m glad to see that the military and police are working together to help create a safe situation in Intan Jaya,” he said as he continued on his way. ***
