Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – Even though far from the hustle and bustle of the city life, the 330 Tri Dharma Task Force does not want to miss out on this Year’s Army Fight Day. The Tri Dharma Knights are restoring one of the areas od Bare Forest in the District in Intan Jaya, Central Papua, on Saturday (16/12/23).

Task Force Commander Infantery Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.Pol. said that this activity was in line with the theme of the 78th Army Fight Day, namely the Indonesian Army together with the people, uniting with nature for the Republic of Indonesia.

“Gradually the 330 Task Force will restore the ecosystem by reforesting barren land in the Intan Jaya mountains as a efforts to prevent and deal with natural disasters,” he explained.

Furthermore, Task Force Commander explained that this activity was based on the Army Chief of Staff, General Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc, who emphasized that the army must directly be involved in preserving nature.

Infantery Lieutenant Alfian, as the person in charge, explained that within the past 2 days, he and his members planted 78 Mahogany tree seedlings on deforested land. Planting Mahogany tree seedlings is an effort by the 330 Task Force with a long-term target.

“Planting one tree today will reap a million benefits in the future,” said Alfian.
