Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – That afternoon, the sun rose with it’s scorching heat as it beats the cold weather in the Sugapa District. You can see 2 male figures walking across in front of one of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon outposts in the Sugapa District, Intan Jaya, on Wednesday (05/07/2023)

The residents, whom seemed to had just recently returned from gardening activities, were greeted by the Tri Dharma Warriors. “Father, come here, lets have some coffee” said the soldier while extending his finger to do “KAONAK”, a typical greeting Intan Jaya residents usually make when they meet each other. “Sure, let’s have it”, replied the two in unison.

The two of them rushed to the hut in front of the post and were warmly welcomed by members of the post. “Father, let’s drink coffee”, as the conversation started “Sluurpph..ah, wow, this coffee is delicious. What’s the name of the coffee?” asked Father Obeth Sani, Pastor of the Tanah Putih Catholic Church.

“The coffee that you drank was coffee from Bandung, it’s called KOTEKA coffee, one of our men made it,” said the vice mission commander, Major Riska Imron. “KOTEKA is an acronym, which stands for Kostrad Spreading Peace. All 330 personnel came to Intan Jaya to help all Intan Jaya residents to make sure they’re safe and prosperous,” concluded the Vice Commander

Major Dedy Pungky as the Mission Commander explained their mission began by outreaching to the community about the Kostrad Spread Peace program. “By being given an explanation of the purpose of the KOTEKA program, the people of Intan Jaya will understand, and if they understand, they will join in to support,” he said.
