Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – Local Residents who were intimidated by the sudden appearance of an African monster lurking in the Mamba waters last July are no longer afraid. A group of residents visited the Mamba Post of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon Task Force on Friday morning (08/09/23).

Sargeant First Class Selamet, who was in the middle of feeding the monster from the edge of the pond, was suddenly surrounded by residents. they seemed curious to see the African monster up close in the Mamba Post Pool. “Come here, help me feed the monsters,” said Selamet while holding out a sack filled with fish pellets.

“When this monster is ready to be harvested, I will tell you later. Later we will share it. Everyone gets it,” he continued.

Infantery First Lieutenant Bayu, the Commander of the Mamba post said that catfish farming in the Mamba Pond is part of the Task Force’s food security program. “There are 2,000 of them in these two ponds. Apart from being consumed by members of the post, later we will distribute the harvest to residents around the post,” he explained.

“Mama-mama, look at that, there’s a big monster eating again,” said Robin, pointing to the surface of the pool. ***
