Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – In the span of 7 months on duty in Papua and up to the third week of January this year, it was recorded that 39 solar powered lights had been installedin various locations by the 330 Task Force. It was seen as the Tri Dharma personnel continued to installed solar cell lights in each of the homes of the Sugapa district residents in the Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua Province on Friday (19/1/24).

330 Task Force Commander, Infantry Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.I.Pol explained that this was a form of the Task Force’s commitment to always be present in helping overcome the difficulties of the people in the area where their stationed. One way is by providing lamps to make Intan Jaya a brighter place.

“Installation of solar-powered lights is carried out in various locations according to needs, including installation as street lights are often used by people, village complexes, churches and houses or Honais belonging to residents,” he explained.

Furthermore, task force commander said that the solar powered lights installed were part of the assistance provided from the Indonesian Army Chief of Staff Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc and the Commander of the Strategic Reserve Command, Lt Gen. Muhammad Saleh Mustafa.

Mama Wetipao, one of the residents who received the lamps, appreciated the concrete steps taken by the Task Force.

“The solar lamps benefits us, the people of Intan Jaya. Our children can now study at night with the added lighting, thank you,” he said.
