Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – There is a village in the Intan Jaya Regency often referred to the nation above the clouds. Bilogai Village is an area known to be difficult in obtaining clean water because it’s located in a high altitude.

But now, history has been made. Where residents of Bilogai Village no longer have to walk for miles through the dense jungle of Papua to get clean water. The presence of the 330 Tri Dharma Task Force has brought positivity to the Bilogai community.

Infantery First Lieutenant Zaenal, Commander of the Bilogai Post said that there is a spring near the Bilogai post, but because the location is quite far, residents have to put in more work to get clean water.

“I observed that because of the far distance, many residents of Bilogai Village stop for a moment at the post to rest before returning to their village,” he said.

Furthermore, Post commander explained that according to the direction of 330 Task Force Commander, the Bilogai Post staff had to carry out patrols to check the condition of the springs, and look for ways so that water from the springs could be channeled to the nearest location which was more easily accessible to the public.

“After we carried out a patrol to the location of the water source, which was +/- 400 meters away, I reported to the commander that the water from the water source could be channeled to the front of the Bilogai post using a hose and jet pump machine to then be stored in a water reservoir,” explained post commander.

Nobertus Mbuligau, resident of Bilogai Village, who was also present at the inauguration of the water reservoir by the Task Force, felt happy and expressed his thankfulness.

“This is history. The people of Bilogai will not forget, the 330 Task Force has helped us with clean water, thank you with all Respect,” he said.

“Now clean water is close by, God Bless the Task Force, Amakaniee,” added Mama Monica.

Thanks to the 330 Task Force, obtaining water becomes much easier for the people of Bilogai village to meet their daily needs.
