Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – The presence of armed forces tasked with maintaining security and order has felt the Papuan Terrorist Separatist Forces (KSTP) in Intan Jaya no longer free to spread terror. In welcoming the 78th Indonesian Independence Day, personnel of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon emphasized that Intan Jaya is a sovereign territory of the Republic of Indonesia by unfurling the Giant Red and White flag as a symbol of state sovereignty, located on the hill behind the Army Post at Intan Jaya, Central Papua Province, on Monday (14/08/23)

Mr. Apollos Bagau, ST as the District Regent of Intan Jaya expressed his pride and gratitude for the efforts of the 330 Task Force which held the Red and White Declaration by unfurling the Giant Red and White flag. “Intan Jaya Regency is part of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.

Major Dedy Pungky as the Mission Commander said that various intimidation attempts from the KSTP which threatened to disrupt the joy of independence would not dampen the slightest intention of the residents and the Armed Forces and the Police officers in Intan Jaya to enliven the spirit of independence. “The state must not be defeated by a group of people who are trying to undermine the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia,” said the Commander.

During the lively celebration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day in 2023, the giant Red and White Flag stretches majestically on the land of Intan Jaya, Central Papua. ***
