Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – Something new is seen in this year’s Christmas celebration in Intan Jaya. For the first time in history, Santa’s Train was present and helped brighten up the joy of Christmas celebrations in the Sugapa district in the Intan Jaya Regency of Central Papua on Monday (25/12/23).

The presence of the Santa Train in Intan Jaya is the result of the creativity coming from the Tri Dharma Knights. With their creativity, these fighting soldiers from the ranks of 17th Infantery Brigade succeeded in transforming an armored transport vehicle into a charming Santa Train, complete with the figure of Santa sitting on it.

330 Task Force Commander, Infantery Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.I.Pol. Often referred as Sonobi Sejuria explained that the Task Force distributed Christmas Gifts to the people of Intan Jaya.

“Just in time for the Christmas celebration on December 25th of 2023, the Task Force has distributed 200 Christmas gifts to the indigenous Papuan community in Intan Jaya. And what made it even more special was that for the first time there was a Santa Train at the Christmas celebration in Intan Jaya,” he stressed.

It seemed that the people of Intan Jaya, both old, young and children, were very enthusiastic and happy when the Santa train passed through their village.

“Praise God, today we are joyful and happy. Just this Christmas, there was a Santa Train in Intan Jaya. The Task Force made a surprise and distributed Christmas gifts to the residents of Intan Jaya, Amakanie,” joked Mr. Usep Sani.
