Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – To celebrate the upcoming 78th Indonesian Independence Day, personnel of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon carried out a special edition borong hasil bumi (BOHAI) event to celebrate independence, taking place at the Army Post (Koper) in Intan Jaya, Central Papua Province, on Friday (11/08/23).

Residents who pass by carrying merchandise in their nokens were directed to enter the Army Post yard and display their harvest. “Later, there will be personnel tasked with recording the prices of all goods sold individually, after the data is collected they will be paid immediately,” explained Post Commander, First Lieutenant Arditto.

“Thank you, I’m very happy. At first I was confused about the price to pay. They immediately ordered the goods to be sold, and then I bought up all of my merchandise,” said Mama Jolince Sani, a resident whose merchandise was sold out with a beaming face.

Major Dedy Pungky, as the Mission Commander, nicknamed “Sonobi Sejuria” by residents of Intan Jaya, was directly present at the activity site. The 2005 Military Academy Graduate explained that the special edition BOHAI event held before the upcoming celebration of independence is one of many 330 Batalyon Task Force activities in welcoming the 78th Indonesian Independence Day. “The euphoria of independence must be felt by all Indonesian citizens wherever they are, including Intan Jaya,” he said. ***
