Intan Jaya, IDNtribune – “KOTEKA” – Kostrad Spread Peace, which is the missioj tagline carried out by the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon Task Force during its mission in Papua continues help the local in various fields though their programs which are consistently implemented with the goal of increasing stability and security conduciveness and helping the local government in realizing community welfare in the Intan Jaya Regency

Task Fore Commander Infantery Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.I.Pol., explained that Coffee is one of Intan Jaya’s natural resources full of potential. Coffee is one of many agriculture commodities cultivated in Indonesia which plays a role in supporting the economy.

“If the coffee in Intan Jaya is processed properly and correctly, it is not impossible that it will become a source of income that will improve the welfare of the people of Intan Jaya,” he explained.

Armed with 1 coffee tree whose fruit grows thickly in the middle of Titigi Post, personnel of the Task Force first tried to process it. After being judged successful, the Tri Dharma Knights then taught tips on processing coffee beans to the people who came to the post.

“Drinking coffee has become a culture here in all circles. Seeing the potential of coffee here, we are trying to share tips on how to process coffee beans until they become ready for consumption,” said Infantery First Lieutenant Dwi Wisnu, Commander of the Titigi Post.

Mr Markianus, one of the residents who came to the post and enjoyed the Titigi Coffee, on Saturday (28/10/23), admitted that he had just learned how to process coffee beans.

“There are lots of coffee trees in the middle of the forest. I just don’t know how to process them. For the past week, the Task Force has taught me how to process coffee beans. I have tried drinking the processed coffee, it tastes great, respectful,” he said.

Furthermore, Titigi Post Commander explained that if there is no capital to produce large quantities, at least the processed coffee can be consumed by yourself.

“Seeing the potential of the coffee commodity in Intan Jaya, if it is handled seriously it can certainly improve people’s welfare. At least, residents no longer need to buy coffee for their daily needs,” he explained.
