Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – At dusk on Sugapa, personnel of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon Task Force quickly provided assistance to an old man named Jumame Bagubau, a resident of Jalai Village who was the victim of a hit-and-run on Trans Sugapa road, to be precise at the junction in front of the Service office at Intan Jaya, Central Papua Province, on Wednesday (23/08/23).

Jumame’s grandfather, who was the victim of a hit-and-run, said that he was ambushed by 3 young men who were riding a motorbike traveling at speed from behind, to be precise, coming from the lower Mamba village. The victim, who was walking on foot, suddenly fell into the middle of the road and screamed for help.

Luckily, several 330/Tri Dharma Task Force personnel who were on guard not far from the scene heard the screams of the victims and immediately ran towards the scene to provide first aid. With swiftness, the Tri Dharma Task Force Personnel doctor assisted by several other soldiers provided first aid to the victim who had a fracture in the left leg. Then the victim was carried together into the vehicle to be taken to the Sugapa Health Center.

“After we provided first aid to the victim at the scene of the collision, we took the victim to the Sugapa Community Health Center for further treatment. Furthermore, the case of the alleged hit-and-run accident was handed over to the Intan Jaya Police Traffic Unit for further investigation,” said the Vice commander Major Riska Imron.
