Malang, IDNtribune.com – Commander of the Brawijaya Military District Maj. Gen. Farid Makruf announced a new task for the Babinsa. He ordered the Babinsa to guard the students of Brawijaya University (Unibraw). But not just any UB student will be escorted by Babinsa.

Apparently, this Two-Star General who is a Kopassus graduate commanded the Babinsa stationed within the Brawijaya Military District to join the Brawijaya University students in participating in the Village Development (MMD) program led by the students.

This was conveyed by the Major General, who was present at the release of students participating in the Village Development program at Samantha Krida Building, Brawijaya University, Friday (30/06/2023).

According to Commander, students should be grateful to their campus for implementing the Village Development program.

“When the Rector told me about this program, I was immediately interested because this is a way for the campus community, especially students, to help develop this country in rural areas. I really appreciate the Village Development program at Brawijaya University,” said Maj. Gen. Farid Makruf.

Therefore, the ex commander of the 132/Tadulako Military Resort gave new assignments to the Babinsa at each location where the village development program is taken place so that they would welcome and introduce these students in their assigned area.

“So with escort from the Babinsa, it will be much easier for the community to accept the students so that the village can facilitate the implementation of the village development program that has been planned.” said the recipient of the Knight of the Royal Order of Sahametrei medal from the Kingdom of Cambodia.

According to him, the Village Development program is a golden opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have learned in society, which incidentally they will also face when they graduate.

At the location where the program is taken place, the students will be faced with the real life realities of Indonesian society. These students will receive direct lessons on how to apply their knowledge in society.
