Intan Jaya, IDNtribune.com – During the mission held in Intan Jaya, personnel of the 330/Tri Dharma Raider Infantery Batalyon Task Force continues helping the government mobilize and increase citizen participation in various fields. In order to arouse students’ interest in becoming soldiers for the armed forces, Personnel of the 330/TD Task Force held a recruitment campaign for the Indonesian Army, taking place at Sugapa Public High School in Intan Jaya, Central Papua province on Wednesday (30/08/23).

Infantery Major Dedy Pungky Irawanto, S.I.P., M.I.Pol, as the commander of the 330/TD Raider Infantery Batalyon Task Force who directly led this activity said that this socialization was one way to inform school students on the opportunity on becoming an Indonesian Army Soldier. “Limited information is one of the reasons for the lack of interest from young people in Intan Jaya. This is a real step to increase interest among the younger generation in Intan Jaya to become soldiers of the Indonesian Army,” he said.

In this activity, the participants were explained about the requirements, procedures for registering, introduced to the selection material as well as given tips and tricks for doing it. “Incredibly, it turned out that they were very enthusiastic. A good starting capital for them,” said the commander.

Mr. Abner as Principal of the Sugapa Public High School appreciated the socialization activities held by the personnel. “This is the first time our students are informed about the opportunity on becoming soldiers of the Army. Thank you, to all Personnel of the Task Force for sharing knowledge and experience with our students,” he concluded.

On the sidelines of the outreach activity, the commander gave an opportunity for 2 soldiers from the Task Force, whom are native to Papua, to provide motivation and inspiration to the participants.

“I want to be a soldier like Heluka. From now on I have to train and prepare myself,” said Julius, one of the participants who was very enthusiastic about the activity. ***
